While in Paris you can find all the luxury shops your heart desires. If you are wanting a real Parisienne shopping experience though you need to explore the tucked away vintage shops around Paris.
At the Kilo shops, all of the clothes are color tagged and you weigh by the kilo for the items price. There are two Kilo shops right next to each other so you have a lot of clothes to look through. You can find a lot of denim there as well as flannels. Take your time browsing and you may even find a vintage Moschino top.
Upon entering Free’P’Star you might need to do some digging. It’s not quite as organized as some of the other shops but it is worth going through. Although you can’t buy that Chanel you were eyeing in the display window, you can find that fancy fur coat that makes you feel like Audrey Hepburn.
This is a spectacular shop where you can find brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Sonia Rykiel, Miu Miu, Roberto Cavalli, Isabel Marant and many more. Everything inside is in great condition. You won’t have a hard time finding a unique piece to add to your wardrobe. When you enter you will be kindly greeted by the owner of the store Sissi. She is very sweet so if you need anything she will gladly help you.
This is a great place to shop when you are looking for more of an 80’s styled look. You will see a lot of fanny packs, bandanas, visors and sunglasses. They also have jackets ranging from denim to men’s varsity jackets. Tilt has a very American Apparel vibe to it.
If you are really looking to do burn a hole in your pocket you should check out Reciproque. This shop is more of a consignment shop than a vintage one but I just had to add it to the list! It is quite a large store and you have almost every designer brand in stock. There’s a whole rack with just Hermes scarves and shelves of Chanel bags, Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney, Nina Ricci, etc. Everything is in almost perfect condition. I left there wanting to take home at least 100 items.
