Where to Eat, Stay, Shop & What to See in San Francisco

Hey lovelies! With summertime approaching fast it’s almost time to start planning out your trips. What’s a good destination to travel to this summer? San Francisco, California. Being a born and raised Northern California girl, I am going to tell you where to eat, stay, shop and what to see in the Bay Area!

The perfect area to stay in if you want to be close to everything is Nob Hill or Fisherman’s Wharf.  As in any city lodging can be pretty expensive but you can usually find reasonable airbnb’s or hotels in these areas if you are willing to search. The links below are some of my personal favourite’s.

The food in San Francisco is always so delicious and fresh. A bakery I recommend stopping by is Mr. Holmes Bakehouse.
Not only are the pastries good but the cafe itself is so Instagram worthy! Not going to lie, I definitely posted a photo on my IG of the “I got baked in San Francisco” neon sign with a funny caption.

If you want to try some of the cities famous seafood, I would recommend going to Leo’s Oyster Bar. This restaurant has the most adorable interior with hanging light bulbs and floral wallpaper.

Of course, SF is filled with many tourist attractions, but if you are crunched for time these are the five attractions I recommend visiting.

1: China town – The oldest Chinatown in North America and holds the largest community of Chinese outside of Asia.

2: Pier 39 (The aquarium) – Holds an arcade, touristic shops, all American restaurants such as Bubba Gump and the “Aquarium of the Bay”. You can also witness the adorable sea lions getting their tans whilst laying alongside the pier.

3:  The Golden Gate Bridge (Crissy Field) – Probably the most famous landmark in San Francisco is the “not so Golden” Gate Bridge. Crissy field is a great park to go to if you want a nice view of the bridge.

4: Lombard Street – Known as the windiest streets in the world. At the top, you have a gorgeous view of the city.

5: Ghiradelli Square – Located in Fisherman’s wharf is the famous  Ghiradelli chocolate house. Grab a hot fudge sundae at their cafe located inside alongside other shops and restaurants.

For a vast variety of shops, I would recommend taking the Trolley to Union Square. With over one hundred shops you are sure to find what you are looking for. Some of my personal favorite’s are Gucci, Uniqlo, MaxMara, Zara and Urban Outfitters. Below I have linked the store’s directory.

Now that you know where to eat, stay, shop and what to see I wish you an amazing trip to San Francisco. As any true Bay Area girl would say “This trip is going to be hella fun!”.
