5 Amazing Animal Cruelty Free Makeup Brands

5 Amazing Animal Cruelty Free Makeup Brands

As I’ve gotten older and have started using makeup more. Something that has actually become important to me is cruelty free brands. Although I think about it all the time, I definitely don’t pay enough attention to it as I should or would like to. I thought this would be the perfect way to get myself (and hopefully you) started on this journey. As I researched I was pleasantly surprised at how many brands are cruelty free and even vegan! Brands that I already use and that are some of my favorites. I hope these 5 brands I share with you can shed some light on this matter for you!

For those of you who don’t know her, Kat Von D started off as a tattoo artist gaining stardom from the TLC reality show LA Ink. In 2008 she launched her own makeup brand, Kat Von D Makeup. I started using her products in 2016 and found out that they are so amazing. Her liquid eyeliner is the best I’ve ever used. The best part is that she makes it very clear that her brand is vegan and cruelty free.

Milk is a brand that I have recently become obsessed with. They have some really cool products that are so fun. Just saying, their Cooling Water stick is so amazing. Another thing that’s amazing about them (besides from being cruelty free) is that they also use great ingredients. Ones that aren’t icky and bad for you!

I can’t say I’ve used many Tarte products, but I do have friends that do. They do have the best lipstick colors though. Tarte is indeed cruelty free and most of the their products are vegan as well. Also, they’re gluten free so that’s a plus…?

Too Faced has always been a trustworthy brand to me. Their Born This Way foundation is the best! Adding to that, they are a cruelty free brand and even have a list of products that are vegan as well!

If you’re looking for some cruelty free makeup a bit on the cheaper side, Elf is perfect for you! Plus they don’t use animal derived ingredients. They even are partnered with PETA in the Caring Consumer Project.
